We recommend joining a 1-2 minutes before your scheduled time to ensure everything is working properly.
There’s no need to download an app—the link will open directly in your default web browser (such as Google Chrome, Safari, or Microsoft Edge) for a smooth and easy experience.
We recommend using a portable device such as a smartphone, laptop, iPad, or tablet for your Telehealth appointment. These devices make it easier to adjust the camera if your podiatrist needs to observe your movement, posture, or foot positioning during the consultation.
Please note: a reliable internet connection—whether through mobile data, a phone plan, or Wi-Fi—is required for the video call to function properly.
Ensure you are in a safe, quiet, and open space where you can comfortably move around if a functional or visual assessment is needed.
Your podiatrist will have a detailed conversation with you and ask a series of targeted questions to gather a full picture of your medical and injury history. This helps us understand your condition, concerns, and goals. By building a clear clinical picture, we ensure the care you receive is personalised, effective, and aligned with podiatry best practices.
After discussing your main concerns, your podiatrist may guide you through a series of functional movement tests to help identify any key issues contributing to your symptoms. We may also ask to see your regularly worn footwear, as the wear patterns can provide valuable insights into your gait and walking mechanics.
Once the assessment is complete, yoour podiatrist will clearly explain their findings and talk you through the most suitable treatment options, ensuring you fully understand the next steps in your care journey.
Yes, absolutely. A Telehealth appointment should be approached just like a physical clinic visit. Both you and your podiatrist are expected to be dressed respectfully—avoid overly casual attire.
Please be punctual, and have any questions or concerns prepared in advance so they can be addressed during the consultation. We recommend writing them down on a notepad.
All communication should remain within the scheduled appointment time, unless otherwise arranged with your podiatrist. This helps maintain a professional and respectful experience for everyone involved.
Your personalised treatment plan will be tailored to your specific condition, goals, and lifestyle. This may include:
-
Expert education and advice to help you manage your condition
-
A personalised exercise program
-
Orthotic prescription, if needed
-
Activity modification strategies to reduce stress on affected areas
Your podiatrist may also provide footwear recommendations with specific features suited to your needs, and suggest products that support both your recovery and long-term foot health.
If orthotics are prescribed, we will guide you through the process—from prescription to manufacturing and delivery straight to your doorstep. We will also work with your local footwear provider to help you find the most appropriate shoes for your condition.
If you are under 16 or require help with technology, you’ll need to attend your Telehealth appointment with a parent, guardian or support person. If you simply feel more comfortable having a support person with you, you’re welcome to do so.
Just let us know at the time of booking, or inform your podiatrist at the beginning of your consultation.
Please note: Having a support person present means they will have access to any confidential health information discussed during your appointment.
You can attend your Telehealth appointment from any private and comfortable location, similar to a clinic room, where you feel safe, secure, and at ease.
If you’re attending from somewhere other than your home, please inform your podiatrist at the start of your Telehealth Appointment. This information is important in the unlikely event that emergency services are needed, so we can provide your accurate location if required.
If your podiatrist determines that an in-person assessment is necessary, they will discuss this with you in detail. Together, you’ll decide on the most appropriate next steps. Your podiatrists can also provide a referral to a trusted clinician in your local area to ensure you receive the care that best supports your needs and recovery goals.

Telehealth appointment is ideal if there are no podiatry clinics nearby or if attending an in-person appointment is difficult or impractical. It’s especially helpful for those with travel limitations or who prefer the convenience of a remote consultation.
However, if there is a clinic that is accessible and convenient for you, we recommend attending in person. Have a look at our list of our clinic locations here.
Please note: If you have an acute injury—such as a broken foot or sprained ankle—seek immediate medical attention through your GP or the nearest emergency clinic.
