Swift is a cutting edge technology, developed in the UK, which has been licensed for the general treatment of skin lesions in Podiatry and Dermatology. Swift delivers a low dose microwave energy through a specialised probe that targets and effectively treats the underlying HPV virus by simulating a natural immune response in the body. Addressing the root cause, not the symptom.

DOES IT HURT?

Like many treatments for skin lesions, some minor discomfort may be experienced. Pain levels vary from person to person but most people undergoing Swift liken it to a pain similar to an injection or a scratch, lasting 2-3 seconds then quickly subsiding.

WHAT CAN I DO AFTER TREATMENT?

In some cases the treated area may feel sore but will not prevent you undertaking normal daily activities.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

This is dependent on how complex your lesions or verrucae and how you respond to treatment. In most cases you will need more than one treatment (these are usually a month apart depending on the response) and average 3-4 treatments. Your Podiatrist will be able to discuss this with you

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

A Verruca Diagnosis Consultation costs $92 and a Swift Verruca Treatment costs $289 per treatment. At your Consultation, your podiatrist will be able to diagnose if you require more treatment time due to multiple lesions/verrucae – this will add 20 minutes and $92 to your total treatment. Please note, a Consultation is a prerequisite for Swift Verruca Treatment. We offer payment options such as AfterPay and HealthNow.

CAN ANYONE RECEIVE THIS TREATMENT?

With a few exceptions, most people with skin lesions can have this treatment. Your Podiatrist will carry out an assessment prior to treatment and advise you on this. It is not suitable if you have metal implants in your foot.

HOW DO I KNOW I HAVE A VERRUCA AND NOT A CORN?

It is common to confuse corn and verruca. Your Podiatrist can help identify what you have. A verruca is a wart and therefore requires a more comprehensive treatment plan to get rid of.
