I moved to NZ with my family from Fiji, completed high school and worked as a tradie for a few years. I always had a keen interest for rehabilitation within sports so I started a bachelor of health science in podiatry at Auckland University of Technology.
At AUT, I was able to learn both the theory and practical side of podiatry. I had keen interests in sport rehabilitation, specifically. In the third year of my degree I had the opportunity to go to the South Island and practice in different clinics and understand the different clinical issues with patients they deal with. I’m excited to pursue my career in podiatry, as it brings me great satisfaction knowing I can make a difference in an individual’s life.
Outside of podiatry, I enjoy going out for fishing. Exploring New Zealand’s beautiful backyard and finding places to go for hikes, in order to keep myself active and healthy.
