Calf strain
Pain in the calf muscle can happen in upper, mid, and lower calf.
Pain can be caused by; anaccident, overuse, training error, poor biomechanics (e.g. abnormal pronation), muscle imbalance, poor flexibility.
Treatment for a calf strain include; rest, ice, sports massage, anti-inflammatory, stretching, strengthening, orthotics, change of footwear, strapping, activity modification.
