Mike Wu BHSc (Hons) (Podiatry)
Mike Wu is one of our senior podiatrists, with expertise in a wide range of foot care and lower limb conditions. Mike was the first to graduate with Honours in Podiatry at AUT University in 2006. He initially worked down in Hamilton mainly dealing with the diabetic population. Now his practice focuses more on sports injury and orthopaedic problems. In particular, Mike enjoys helping those with chronic pain and dealing with 'difficult' cases. To ensure that he provides his patients with the best Podiatry services possible, Mike actively participates in postgraduate courses, workshops and continuing medical education. He is currently studying Diploma of Sports Medicine through Otago University. In his spare time, Mike also enjoy playing the piano and violin, and for sport enjoy judo, running, and weight training.

A consultation with a Foot Mechanics Podiatrist will always start with a discussion with you. In medical terms we call this history taking and this helps us understand the background, and context to the problem you want help with. Once we understand what you want help with the Podiatrist will do an assessment. The assessment enables the Podiatrist to understand the medical background to your problem, the Podiatrist will explain the findings to you, and you are welcome to ask any questions so that you understand.
