I have recently graduated from AUT University and made the move down to Tauranga to begin my podiatry career with Foot Mechanics. My interest in Podiatry was sparked a few years back when I was pondering a career change. I wanted a career which combined my interests of human anatomy and physiology along with the biomechanics of human movement. Podiatry encompassed all this and more!

I have a general interest in all aspects of podiatry including general nail and skin care, diabetic education and treatment, footwear advice and nail surgery. However, my primary area of interest focuses on musculoskeletal injuries and sports patients. I am a strong believer in exercise strengthening for injury prevention and rehabilitation. I have been involved with a number of different sports and as a result understand the physical demands and challenges we place on our bodies. I pride myself on bringing a practical approach to diagnosing the underlying cause of an injury or pain rather than just simply treating the symptoms.

In my downtime I enjoy getting out doors and being active. Basketball and tennis are my go to sports which I can never get enough of. Since moving to the bay I have also been getting out on the kayak most weekends, exploring the amazing nearby harbours and coastline. I also enjoy a good book or doco from time to time.
