The High Risk Foot Programme – a community podiatry programme designed to reduce the impact and incidence of foot complications in people with diabetes - won the top prize at the Bay of Plenty DHB Health Innovation Awards for 2008.  The same programme is now available in Rotorua.

“The success of this programme shows a practical example of how specialised health service providers like Foot Mechanics can work with Primary Health Organisations and District Health Boards,” said Mr Miller.  The programme will reach the high needs population providing value to general practice, patients and significant health dollar savings.
