Overview

“Call it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe, call it a family. Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one.” Jane Howard

franchise1.pngFranchising is a unique relationship where a team is formed and agrees to work together following standards and guidelines that have been proven to bring success. This produces strong relationships, and a formidable business format.

Foot Mechanics® is looking for people to join the team and be part of the largest Podiatry franchise in New Zealand. A Foot Mechanics® franchise delivers health outcomes for patients and provides financial, professional and personal rewards to business owners.

As a franchisee you are not in business battling it out alone. Many people buy a franchise as a way of taking on something challenging and meaningful. With the support of the franchise system, the franchisors team, and their fellow franchisee’s they feel they can be successful.

Common Questions

Through our discussions with Podiatrists common questions we hear are;

  • I'd love to own my own practice but where do I start?
  • I've had my clinic for a while now, why isn't it working out?
  • I've been operating my own practice for years now. Why haven't I got the financial or personal freedom that I’ve been working hard for?
  • I want to move to New Zealand and enjoy the lifestyle and freedom of owning my own practice, how can I get the "local business knowledge" needed to be successful?

If these questions are on your mind, a Foot Mechanics® franchise may be just what you’re looking for.

In comparison to starting a business from scratch or operating an independent Podiatry practice, investing in a Foot Mechanics® franchise is considerably different.

As a franchisee, you are neither a partner nor involved in a joint venture with Foot Mechanics®. You are an independently owned and operated practice, with the added benefits of using our systems, brand, trademarks with access to our intellectual property and franchise support team. These benefits assist franchisees to operate a proven business model for a Podiatry practice. We only benefit when you are successful, so it is in our interest to help you establish, operate and grow your practice.

Foot Mechanics® is successful because we have the right people on board. We have people whose personal values are aligned with ours.

John & Lorraine Miller

frachise6.pngJohn and Lorraine Miller opened their first Podiatry clinic in 1995, the same year in which John became a practising Podiatrist. Through a combination of excellence in customer service and clinical practice, the Millers and their management team have built Foot Mechanics® to be the largest Podiatry Company in New Zealand today.

“Our motivation for growing Foot Mechanics® to be a nation-wide Podiatry franchise group is to form a team of smart people who will be able to achieve great Podiatry outcomes for our customers, grow successful businesses and have a positive influence on Podiatry and the health industry because we have put the necessary leadership, systems and support in place.”

In October 2007 Foot Mechanics® retained the services of the awarding winning Franchise Consultants NZ Limited to assess, develop and document the franchise system. Their research indicates a fragmented market lacking the presence of a dominant brand.

John and Lorraine Miller started practicing Podiatry in 1995 operating as a sole practitioner. Today, the practice he started, Foot Mechanics® operates from 12 main clinics in the central North Island of New Zealand, and has satellite clinics in over 30 locations. Along the way, John has recruited a dedicated team of professionals to help manage the growth of the network. John has also sought specialist franchise advice and assistance to assess and develop the Foot Mechanics® franchise.

How it works

We are currently recruiting like minded professionals who wish to share in our passion for professional and business success.

We will provide you with comprehensive initial training and the ongoing business support required for your success. A Foot Mechanics® franchise presents all the benefits of owning your own practice, with the added advantage of belonging to a network where ongoing support and assistance is provided.

Foot Mechanics® is a member of the Franchise Association of New Zealand.  Membership to the Franchise Association assures you that Foot Mechanics meets best practice standards for operating a Franchise system in New Zealand.  For more information about what this membership means click here.
